Our response to recovery

The pandemic has been a human tragedy the likes of which we have never seen before in our generation. At CEH, we extend our deepest sympathies to everyone around the world who has lost someone to this vile illness. We also hope that everyone who is sick will recover soon and those who have lost their jobs will soon find alternative employment in the 'new normal' world.


It is also worth noting that on the flip side, there have been some wonderful benefits for the environment. The skies are blue, the waters are clear and the air is a joy to breathe without pollution from cars, trucks and jets. This dark period in human history has given us a glimpse of what the world would look like if we weren't messing it up.


But in our response to the virus, we are also finding new ways to make a mess of the planet by thoughtlessly discarding masks and gloves and other protective materials that end up polluting the world all over again. Seriously, let's not find new ways to harm this wonderful planet.
